The Championship will be organized to celebrate the launch of the UAE’s new Nation Brand

Abu Dhabi, UAE – January 28, 2020: Accentuating its mission of popularising Jiu-Jitsu across the UAE, the UAE Jiu-Jitsu Federation (UAEJJF) announced the organization of a brand-new tournament – The Emirates International Pro Jiu-Jitsu Championship.
The tournament will be held on Friday, January 31 at the UAE University in Al Ain.

The Emirates International Pro Jiu-Jitsu Championship’s organization is being held to mark and fete the launch of the new visual media identity for the UAE. This new visual media identity was launched by His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, and His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces.

The Emirates International Pro Jiu-Jitsu Championship will attract several reputed domestic and international stars in the championship and will be held across Juveniles, adults and masters categories and for various belts. The Championship provides an excellent opportunity for athletes to pick up valuable ranking points before the end of the 2019-2020 Jiu-Jitsu season in April.

H.H. Mohammed Salem Al Dhaheri, Vice Chairman of the UAEJJF, said that organizing the Emirates International Pro Jiu-Jitsu Championship was another feather in the cap of the UAEJJF. “We are committed to popularising and promoting Jiu-Jitsu in as comprehensive way possible in our glorious country.

This Championship’s organization coming on the back of the launch of the UAE’s new visual media identity reaffirms the vision of our esteemed leadership which continues to motivate, guide, and encourage the soaring ambitions of our nation and its people,” he said. “The Emirates International Pro Jiu-Jitsu Championship is another quality addition to an already-impressive line-up of tournaments that the UAEJJF organizes and will provide a strong platform for Jiu-Jitsu athletes to display their sporting prowess.”
